Integrated Entropy-SWARA-ERUNS Algorithm for Optimization and Recycling of Plastic Waste Material using Bipolar Fuzzy Z-Numbers
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: The concept of bipolar fuzzy Z-numbers (BFZNs) is a new hybrid approach to address vagueness and bipolarity in the real-life circumstances. The idea of BFZNs is a new fuzzy model that integrates bipolar fuzzy numbers and Z-numbers that offer reliability analysis of bipolar fuzzy information. This study introduces a comprehensive multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) framework that combines the entropy method for objective weighting, the stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (SWARA) method for expert input, and the evaluation based on relative utility and nonlinear standardization (ERUNS) for ranking alternatives. The approach introduces a novel ”Entropy-SWARA-ERUNS” algorithm based on bipolar fuzzy Z-numbers (BFZNs) to better handle uncertainty and vagueness. The framework enables a balanced evaluation of the recycling plastic waste material, with sensitivity and comparative analyzes that validate its robustness and superiority over conventional methods.
