Abstract: Light-driven quantum transport offers an effective route for controlling the electronic response of low-dimensional materials under nonequilibrium conditions. Here, we investigate the electronic transport properties of an O-functionalized Ti₃C₂O₂ MXene nanoribbon using a multi-orbital tight-binding Hamiltonian combined with the Floquet nonequilibrium Green's function (Floquet-NEGF) formalism. The influence of optical-field amplitude and photon energy is systematically examined through transmission spectra, Floquet-assisted transport channels, and nonlinear current–voltage characteristics. Periodic optical driving reconstructs the transmission spectrum through Floquet sidebands, generating photon-assisted transport pathways that significantly modify electronic conduction. The two driving parameters exhibit distinct physical roles. Increasing the optical-field amplitude strengthens the coupling between Floquet sectors, activates photon-assisted transport channels, and progressively suppresses the negative differential resistance (NDR). In contrast, varying the photon energy primarily redistributes the transmission weight among Floquet channels while preserving the overall NDR characteristics within the investigated range. A representative orbital-resolved Floquet analysis further reveals that the current reduction in the NDR regime originates from the simultaneous suppression of the dominant Floquet transport channels rather than from the disappearance of an individual sideband. These findings provide microscopic insight into light-controlled transport in multi-orbital MXene nanoribbons and highlight the role of Floquet engineering in tailoring nonlinear transport properties of low-dimensional quantum materials.
