Abstract: This document describes the availability of training data for image and sound recognition models of European animals, focusing on species groups for which an EU Red List is available, on species groups included in the EU pollinator initiative and on alien invasive species of Union concern. It compares the availability of training data with the goals set by ourselves at the start of the MAMBO project, analyses gaps and discusses possible ways to address these gaps in the next few years.
