Abstract: This paper, prepared within the multidisciplinary project The Reconceptualization Epoch, presents an original geometric-electromagnetic concept of the structure and dynamics of the objects of the Solar System. The author subjects the mainstream theory of the hydromagnetic dynamo to a critical analysis, demonstrating on the basis of empirical astrophysical data the absence of a direct dependence between the axial rotation speed of the planets and the intensity of their magnetic fields. As an alternative, a natural-philosophical model is proposed of planetary bodies as current-conducting ‘skeleton’ rotors enclosed within an external magnetic ‘stator’ of a regular polyhedron, operating on the principle of electrical machines. On the basis of experimental modelling of electromagnetic processes in regular polyhedra, the icosahedral-dodecahedral force framework of the Earth (IHES) and the octahedro-icosahedral structure of Venus and Uranus are substantiated. Within the developed concept of toroidal electromagnetic structures — ‘plasmoids’ and ‘magnetoids’ — the nature of solar cyclicity is revealed, where coronal holes and sunspots are interpreted as counter-conical vortex systems. An applied conclusion is formulated concerning the resonant role of the Earth’s geomagnetic field in the energy balance of the Sun, along with a deterministic explanation of the diurnal ‘opening–closing’ of the magnetosphere of Uranus and the anomalous braking of Venus.
