Simulation dataset for the T equation: modeling endometriosis progression
Year: 2026
Type: dataset
Abstract: This dataset contains the complete simulation data underlying the research article JTB-D-26-01357 (Mathematical Modeling of Endometriosis Pathophysiology: Evaluating Endocrine Signaling, Receptor Dynamics, and Ectopic Cell Proliferation) submitted to Journal of Theoretical Biology. The dataset was generated using the T equation E(tau) = S * exp(0.05 * G * S * tau) where S = sigma_X*J + sigma_alpha*beta. Parameter values: S0=1.0 untreated baseline, residual S=0.813 (elagolix 150 mg QD) and S=0.575 (200 mg BID), G=1.0 sporadic and G=3.52 high-susceptibility, threshold Sth=0.40, mu=0.02. Key results at 30 months: untreated G=1.0 E=4.48, S=0.813 E=2.75, S=0.575 E=1.36, untreated G=3.52 E=196, treated G=3.52 S=0.575 E=12.0. Ratio untreated/treated = 3.29. The file TEquationRawAllData.PDF includes all raw trajectories and summary values that reproduce Figures 1-4 of the related article. Data are normalized dimensionless; absolute lesion volumes recoverable by patient-specific scale factor. Related article: JTB-D-26-01357
