Roebuck's Law 6: Dissipation Displacement and Spatial Relocation of Entropy Production
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: Roebuck's Law 6: dissipation can be relocated, not eliminated. Formalism ∫_V Sigma_dot dV = Sigma_dot_total >=0 over supersystem, local Sigma_dot can be low if Sigma_dot_env is high. Displacement efficiency chi = Sigma_dot_env/Sigma_dot_total. Total P_in >= v·F + T0 Sigma_dot. Biological precedent: plant moves dissipation from leaf to soil and atmosphere via water column and vapor phase change, latent heat precedent. Total Sigma_dot preserved, Carnot respected. Requires dual calorimetric closure on leaf and environment. This work operates strictly within the constraints of Zenodo 00 (Roebuck's Law 0, A1-A5). Where reconciliation with A1-A5 fails, this interpretation is rejected.
