Impulsive Forcing in Linear ODEs: A Literature Review of Approaches to Delta-Derivative Loads and the Initial-Condition Equivalence

Year: 2026
Type: software
Abstract: Impulsive Forcing in Linear ODEs — Literature Review v2 This release renames and updates the literature-review article to better reflect its actual scope: a comparative survey of multiple mathematical approaches to solving LTI ODEs under Dirac-delta and delta-derivative forcing, not only the single impulse–initial-condition equivalence. Renamed Article title changed to "Impulsive Forcing in Linear ODEs: A Literature Review of Approaches to Delta-Derivative Loads and the Initial-Condition Equivalence" (previously "The Impulse–Initial Condition Equivalence in Linear ODEs: A Literature Review"). Source/build files renamed accordingly: LiteratureReviewOdeDelta-version3.md → LiteratureReviewImpulsiveForcingLinearODE-version3.md, with matching .tex and .pdf outputs. Content changes Added a new Conclusion note connecting the m ≥ n boundary (where the response to delta-derivative forcing is no longer a plain function) to independent results by Filippov (1988) and Nedeljkov & Oberguggenberger (2012). Removed all references to an unpublished "main/companion article" so the review is fully self-contained. Build/rendering fixes Fixed bare DOI/URL text in the reference list overflowing the page margin (added autolink_bare_uris to the pandoc pipeline). Fixed an \sout+italics line-wrap bug in the version-diff PDF that could produce unreadable overfull lines in struck-through passages.
