Replication Data for: Replication data for: Hypodontia as an Extended Phenotype in Families with Nonsyndromic Oral Clefts: Findings from a 39-Family Clinical Cohort

Year: 2026
Type: dataset
Abstract: This dataset contains anonymized family-level data from an observational clinical cohort study investigating whether hypodontia outside the cleft region may be associated with cleft recurrence in the offspring of parents with nonsyndromic oral clefts (NSOC). The study was conducted at the Hospital de Reabilitação de Anomalias Craniofaciais, University of São Paulo (HRAC-USP), Bauru, Brazil. Participants with confirmed NSOC and at least one biological child were evaluated through clinical and dental records, radiographic examinations, and a standardized questionnaire addressing family history, offspring, and cleft recurrence. Participants were classified into two groups according to the presence (CH) or absence (IC) of hypodontia outside the cleft region. The dataset includes anonymized information for 39 families, including group classification, sex, cleft type and laterality, family history of oral clefts, number of missing teeth, number of biological children, and cleft recurrence. The dataset was prepared in de-identified form and is intended to support transparency and reproducibility of the analyses reported in the associated publication.
