Nuclei as Knot Composites: the Deuteron Bridge, the Alpha Ladder, and an Electron-Scale Nuclear Glue in One Medium

Abstract: Seventh and final paper of the series. The proton of this framework is a five-defect knot; the neutron is the same knot carrying a bound electron-scale passenger. The paper shows the smallest nuclei assemble by one mechanism—the passenger relocates to a shared bridge position between knots and acts as glue—and reports: (i) the bridge mechanism, with the published machinery giving pure repulsion (+200 me scale) for bare knot pairs, so that channel discrimination is carried by (ii) a zero-parameter counting at true-winding level: net Coulomb-layer coefficients −3/−2/+1 for np/nn/pp reproduce the bound/virtual/unbound outcome, with the glue quantum fixed by the identity α·mπ = √κ·me ≈ 2me (exact by construction within the framework; empirical content: 273.09 vs the measured 273.13 with α as input), giving −2.11 me against the experimental −4.35 me as a parameter-free leading contribution—no claim of full derivation is made, and an explicit evidential ledger separates derived, numerical, back-inferred, and behind-wall items; (iii) the same relocation rule iterates up an alpha ladder (deuteron midpoint, helium −2, carbon centroid −6, oxygen body-center −8), regenerating the classical alpha-cluster geometries (Wheeler, Hafstad–Teller, Dennison; tetrahedral 16O per Bijker–Iachello) and adding a constituent identity for the glue; a fresh, published computation gives 16O reassembly bound at −48 to −78 me (vs −28) in the physically realized fused regime; (iv) a molecular exit: the covalent bonding pair replays the deuteron bridge at ångström scale, one scaling relation prices MeV nuclear differences and eV chemical bonds together, and the H2O bent geometry marks the amplitude-branch range boundary. The predicted composite negative winding at cluster centers is confronted with precision electron-scattering charge densities under the framework's own layering rule; the amplitude-weighted charge profile is named as the construction's next obligation. The electron of the first paper is the glue of the last station.
