“When the Brain Speaks in Colors, Decoding Causes of Death Through Subtle Hues: A Case Report”
Year: 2026
Type: article
Study design: Case Report
Abstract: Subtle color changes in the brain during autopsy may provide valuable clues toward the cause of death. Although often overlooked, these findings-when interpreted in conjunction with history and circumstantial evidence-can significantly aid forensic diagnosis. We report two deaths due to gaseous exposure in which discoloration of brain tissue provided an important clue in determining the cause of death.
