Disaster Supply Chain Management in the Logistics Industry and Sustainable Development: A Bibliometric and Social Network Analysis
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Under accelerating climate change and recurrent global crises, disaster supply chain management (DSCM) must reconcile emergency efficiency with sustainable development objectives. Despite increasing scholarly attention, the knowledge structure and integrative depth of this field remain fragmented. This study conducts a bibliometric and social network analysis of 110 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2015 and 2025 to map research trends and thematic evolution. Using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny, the analysis examines publication growth, citation patterns, collaboration networks, keyword co-occurrence, thematic mapping, and co-citation structures. The findings reveal rapid expansion of the field, with research shifting from operational optimization toward supply chain resilience and sustainability integration. Thematic analysis identifies sustainable development and disaster supply chains as foundational themes, while decision making and COVID-19 function as driving themes. The study further uncovers a “triple disconnection”: limited integration of environmental and social sustainability into emergency logistics, insufficient attention to pre- and post-disaster stages, and contextual misalignment between developed and developing regions. These insights provide a structured agenda for advancing resilience–sustainability alignment in disaster logistics systems.
