Abstract: The article assesses the hydrogeological and land-reclamation condition of the irrigated areas of the Syrdarya region with the help of GIS technologies. The study analysed the spatial variation of the groundwater table, the degree of mineralization and the filtration properties. According to the results, the groundwater level was 1.5-3.0 m, and the mineralization was mainly 3-5 g/l. The filtration coefficient was found to vary from 0.2-0.4 m/day in loamy soils to 15-40 m/day in gravelly deposits. The results obtained demonstrated the high efficiency of GIS technologies in hydrogeological and land-reclamation monitoring.
