Abstract: This study explores strategies for aligning teaching content with curriculumspecifications to enhance engagement and academic performance among construction students. Invocational and technical education, particularly in construction-related disciplines, there is often adisconnect between the theoretical components of the curriculum and practical industry applications. Thispaper examines methods of contextualizing theoretical topics within real-world construction scenarios,using specification documents as a foundation for lesson planning, assessment design, and skillsdevelopment.
