Abstract: This article discusses the place and significance of the concepts of sections and cutaways in technical drawing lessons. In the course of the study, the role of sections and cutaways in graphic representation, their types, and their importance in developing pupils' spatial imagination are analyzed. The article also considers the modern pedagogical approaches, methods, and techniques applied in teaching this topic. It substantiates the problems encountered in the process of mastering sections and cutaways and the ways of overcoming them. The results of the study are of considerable importance in increasing the effectiveness of teaching technical drawing.
