Abstract: This article presents the results of a study on the introduction of the black chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa) to saline areas. The article analyzes the ecological adaptability, tolerance to soil salinity, and bioecological characteristics of the plant. According to the results of the study, A. melanocarpa can survive a normal growing season even in moderately saline soils, accumulate salts through its root system, and in some cases form physiological adaptation mechanisms. The introduction of the plant will allow the cultivation of useful biomass in saline and degraded areas, maintain ecological stability, and produce medicinal raw materials in local conditions.
