Abstract: In this article, a bibliometric analysis of scientific research conducted on the dried bed of the Aral Sea was carried out. In the course of the study, on the basis of articles retrieved from the Scopus international scientific database, the dynamics of scientific publications in the period from 2000 to 2026, the most active scientific organisations, the leading scholars and international collaboration links were examined. The results of the analysis showed that the number of scientific studies devoted to the dried bed of the Aral Sea, soil degradation, salinisation, ecological changes and desertification processes has increased sharply in recent years. In particular, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the scientific centres of Central Asia stood out as the leading organisations in this field. The fact that the highest numbers of publications fall in the years 2023-2025 confirms that this ecological problem is in the focus of the global scientific community. The analysis of collaboration among authors, in turn, showed that international scientific integration is intensifying. The results of the study serve as an important scientific source for studying the ecological and soil-ground processes on the dried bed of the Aral Sea and for determining future directions of scientific research.
