Abstract: This article discusses the issues of forming and developing jumping ability and jumping endurance in volleyball players. In modern volleyball, a large part of technical and tactical actions — hitting, blocking, passing and putting the ball into play — are performed precisely by jumping. Therefore, jumping ability has become an integral part of the athlete's technical skills and effective movement indicators during the competition. In the course of the research, aerodynamic and kinematic factors, the Abalakov test, as well as effective methods for assessing and developing jumping ability using special technical means were analyzed. In particular, the effectiveness of a step-by-step training methodology, a system of plyometric exercises and individual loading plans aimed at forming jumping qualities in young volleyball players aged 13–16 years was highlighted. The results show that this approach is highly effective in increasing the athlete's physical fitness.
