Fostering Critical Thinking Skills in English Language Classes

Abstract: This article discusses the importance of developingcritical thinking skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes.In modern education, students need not only language knowledge butalso the ability to think independently, analyze information, and makedecisions. The study highlights the role of Problem-Based Learning(PBL) in enhancing critical thinking skills. It also examines how criticalthinking improves speaking skills, decision-making, and communicativecompetence. The role of teachers in fostering these skills is emphasizedas a key factor.
