Abstract: This article examines the food-supply problems of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and their solutions. In the course of the study, the current state of the agrarian sector of the region, the impact of climate change and desertification processes on agriculture, and also the issues of the rational use of water resources were analysed. The main aim of the work is to develop scientifically grounded recommendations for shaping an effective agrarian policy directed at strengthening food security. The results show that the introduction of modern agrotechnologies and the economical use of resources ensure the sustainable production of food products.
