The expression of concern is for the above article, published online on 1 April 2005 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), and has been agreed between the journal Editor-in-Chief, Loren E. Wold; the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology; and John Wiley & Sons Inc. The expression of concern has been agreed due to concerns raised by third parties on the data presented in the article. Specifically, there is evidence of image duplication between Figures 4C and 4D, indicating that the same biological sample has been utilized to represent two distinct experimental conditions. Despite the initial clarification provided by the authors, they were no longer responsive to the journal's request for raw data. The journal has therefore decided to issue this expression of concern to inform and alert the readers.
