Abstract: The article analyzes foreign experience in developing the professional competencies of future fine art teachers. It examines the substantive changes taking place in the process of training professional pedagogical personnel under conditions of globalization and the rapid development of information and communication technologies. It substantiates that the modern teacher is required to possess, alongside theoretical and practical knowledge, pedagogical mastery, the ability to apply innovative technologies, and the skill to use didactic tools effectively. On the basis of the experience of leading foreign and domestic educational institutions, the article evaluates the priority of the competency-based approach, integrative teaching methods, and the effectiveness of strategies aimed at developing cultural and aesthetic thinking. The existing problems in the field are also identified.
