Abstract: Background: Classical Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) has its origin from the germinal center B cells. Better cure rate have been observed in treatment of hodgkin lymphoma over last few decades with combination chemotherapy 2 2 agents, improvement in radiotherapy techniques, and salvage high dose chemotherapy along with stem cell transplantation. Methods: A retrospective review of the classic HL patients treated at a tertiary cancer center in Southern India between January 2011 and December 2019 was done. Results: The review included 55 patients and the median age of 39 years; 66.7% were males, 46.3% had an advanced stage of disease at presentation. 55.6% patients belong to intermediate to high risk according to the International Prognostic Score. 25 9 4 7 Mixed cellularity (25%) and nodular sclerosis (24%) were the most common histological subtypes. Chemotherapy was offered to 88% patients and radiotherapy to 13% patients. Complete response was seen in 61.1% patients. Adriamycin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (ABVD) was the most common chemotherapy regimen used. At a median follow-up of 29 months, the disease free survival at 2 years and 5 years was 87.6% and 72.5% respectively, with an overall survival of 95.4% and 84.8% at 2 years and 5 years. Conclusion: The retrospective review showed that our patient population outcomes of classical hodgkins lymphoma are comparable to results from developing countries.
