The genome sequence of the Kentish Glory, Endromis versicolora (Linnaeus, 1758) (Lepidoptera: Endromidae)

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: We present a genome assembly from an individual male Endromis versicolora (Kentish Glory; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Endromidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 391.90 megabases and 391.44 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.84%) is scaffolded into 26 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.6 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. Species taxonomy Eukaryota; Opisthokonta; Metazoa; Eumetazoa; Bilateria; Protostomia; Ecdysozoa; Panarthropoda; Arthropoda; Mandibulata; Pancrustacea; Altocrustacea; Allotriocarida; Hexapoda; Insecta; Dicondylia; Pterygota; Neoptera; Eumetabola; Endopterygota; Aparaglossata; Panorpida; Amphiesmenoptera; Lepidoptera; Glossata; Neolepidoptera; Heteroneura; Ditrysia; Obtectomera; Bombycoidea; Endromidae; Endromis ; Endromis versicolora (Linnaeus, 1758) (NCBI:txid119269).
