The NUTRI-ENDO Clinical Protocol: Standardized PreTreatment Nutraceutical Optimization with Evidence-Based Vitamin-Mineral Matrix for Endometriosis Management
Year: 2026
Type: report
Abstract: Endometriosis affects approximately 10% of reproductive-age women and is frequently associated with chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, estrogen dominance, and micronutrient deficiencies. Despite advances in surgical and hormonal therapy, pre-treatment optimization of the metabolic and immunological milieu remains understandardized. Nutraceutical intervention represents a low-risk, evidence-informed adjunct capable of modulating key pathophysiological pathways prior to definitive therapy. Objective: To present a standardized, reproducible clinical protocol — NUTRI-ENDO — for pretreatment nutraceutical optimization in endometriosis patients utilizing a structured vitamin-mineral matrix. Methods: The protocol was developed through systematic review of randomized controlled trials, metaanalyses, and mechanistic studies (2010–2026) concerning nutraceutical modulation of endometriosisassociated inflammation, angiogenesis, apoptosis dysregulation, and estrogen metabolism. A multidisciplinary panel synthesized evidence into a tiered implementation framework with defined dosing, timing, monitoring parameters, and safety algorithms. Results: The NUTRI-ENDO matrix comprises twelve core nutraceutical categories: Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, methylfolate, methylcobalamin, magnesium, zinc, selenium, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (EPA/DHA), N-acetylcysteine (NAC), curcumin, and coenzyme Q10. Each component is stratified by pre-treatment phase (Baseline, Priming, Peri-operative/Pre-ART), with explicit dosing ranges, biochemical targets, and contraindication screening. The NUTRI-ENDO protocol offers a practical, evidence-based framework for clinicians to standardize pre-treatment nutraceutical optimization, potentially improving inflammatory markers, pain scores, and treatment responsiveness in endometriosis patients. Prospective validation studies are warranted.
