Additional file 4 of CCL5 and CD11b-fibrin interactions regulate microglia migration and morphology in hyperinflammatory experimental cerebral malaria

Year: 2026
Type: other
Abstract: Supplementary Material 4: Supplemental Figure 4: Intranasal inhibition of CCL5 did not change the fraction of adherent inflammatory monocytes (iMO) in the brain, nor CD4+ T cells, nor systemic T cell cytokines (TNF, IFN-γ ). IL-10 KO mice were infected with P. chabaudi, and mice were treated with Met-CCL5 from 3 to 6 dpi, while the control group was treated with saline. Brains were collected for flow cytometry at 7 dpi. Blood was also collected for cytokine measurement by immuno-bead assay. A) Graph of adherent inflammatory monocytes (CD11b+ CD45hi Ly6C+ MHCII+) and MFI of MHCII on inflammatory monocytes (iMO). B) Graph of 4+/Thy1.2+ T cells. C) Graph shows systemic cytokines TNF and IFN-γ; as an indication of systemic T cell activation. Statistical analyses were performed using an unpaired Student’s t-test; p-value not significant, ns.
