The genome sequence of a muscid fly, Hydrotaea militaris (Meigen, 1826) (Diptera: Muscidae)
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: (Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Muscidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 703.03 megabases and 1 760.39 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (96.2%) is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 18.83 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
