Abstract: Autophagy promotes tumor progression and immune evasion by numerous mechanisms, representing a promising target for novel (immuno)therapeutic interventions in multiple oncological indications. An expanding literature, however, suggests that safely and effectively targeting autophagy in the clinic remains challenging, especially in populations as complex to manage as patients with pancreatic cancer.
