Abstract: The Structural Dynamics of Electromagnetic Radiation and the Principle of Impenetrability: Topological Modeling of Photonic Mass Across Material Boundaries AbstractThis essay proposes a methodological review of the optical-mechanical interactions between electromagnetic radiation and macroscopic conductive and dielectric media. Through the analysis of classical and quantum solutions for light propagation, we demonstrate that contemporary formulations face structural ambiguities in describing the transfer of linear momentum without attributing photonic mass. We examine the behavior of beams incident on dense opaque barriers (masonry, concrete, and wood) and polar fluid media (water), highlighting mathematical contradictions such as the asymmetry in defining electromagnetic momentum within material media. As an alternative to probabilistic descriptions, we outline a unified mechanical model based on geometric compression gradients and thermodynamic balance, suggesting that light interacts substantially and scale-invariantly with spacetime. This approach integrates a broader theoretical framework under development aimed at reformulating theoretical physics and cosmology from a physicalist perspective. Keywords: Photonic mass; Active vacuum; Minkowski momentum; Abraham momentum; Proca electrodynamics; Topological boundary; Relational mechanics; Light-matter interaction; Scale invariance; Thermodynamics of continuous media.
