Abstract: This content analysis examines messages P–12 school leaders received from practitioner magazines during the second year after ChatGPT’s public release. We collected 107 articles from 12 popular U.S. practitioner media outlets published in the second year after ChatGPT’s release, focusing on the intersection of AI and school leadership. Five themes spanned policy development, teacher AI literacy, equitable student AI use, administrator capacity, and stakeholder collaboration. While second-year guidance grew more prescriptive, it remained largely anecdotal, with equity frequently invoked but seldom operationalized.
