Familiarity and Novelty Preferences in Caregiver-Child Interactions: An MB5 Sister-Project

Abstract: This add-on study to ManyBabies 5 extends the examination of infants’ novelty preferences to more naturalistic contexts. Analyses will test the relationship between caregiver and infant behaviours in a semi-naturalistic setting (i.e. lab-based semi-structured free play), and their performance in the MB5 experimental paradigm. A parental report survey on caregiver and infant novelty-related behaviours outside of the lab will also be collected.
