Abstract: The author presents the data of the study of the Turunovka-4 site (Vengerovsky District, Novosibirsk Region, Russia). Excavations revealed structures dating to the transitional period from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age. A small collection of bronze artifacts and numerous finds of technical ceramics used in metal casting were revealed. Based on the concentration of production waste, a bronzecasting area was identified in the close vicinity to one of the dwellings. The working zone with a rectangular hearth was surrounded by deep round postholes, and was bounded on the east by a long L-shaped ditch. It is possible that a solid wall or palisade was constructed here. Thus, the area appears to have been a light frame structure or a shed. The technical ceramics from the site include fragments of casting molds, core rods, crucibles, as well as slagged vessel fragments and daub. Analysis of the items showed that, in addition to specially made crucibles, domestic pottery was also used for metal casting. Two-valve one-sided molds were used for casting, in which the working cavity is located only in one valve, the other being flat. Casting core rods are represented by fragments of four items intended for producing small-diameter sleeves. The composition of the molding clay of the technical ceramics from Turunovka-4 is mostly invariable. Only two recipes have been identified. It was determined that the casting molds were made from special-purpose molding clays that do not coincide with the recipes used for producing domestic pottery.
