Digital Technologies and Industry Software Products as a Means of Forming the Innovative and Technological Competence of Future Hotel and Restaurant Specialists

Abstract: The intensive digital transformation of the hotel and restaurant industry highlights the problem of using modern digital technologies and specialized industry software in the professional training of future specialists. The aim of the study is to systemize modern digital technologies and industry software products, substantiate their role as a means of developing the innovative-technological competence of future specialists in hospitality management, and determine pedagogical capabilities and methods for their integration into the professional training process. Research methods: analysis and synthesis of scientific sources, comparison, generalization, systematization, and interpretation, used to determine the functional purpose of digital technologies and industry software products, systemize them, and substantiate the possibilities of pedagogical integration into professional training. Based on the results of the study, modern digital technologies and industry software products have been systemized according to their functional purpose in professional activity and categorized into eight main groups: property management systems, restaurant management systems, customer relationship management systems, online distribution systems, revenue management systems, business intelligence tools, digital service technologies, and artificial intelligence technologies. The pedagogical potential of the identified groups is substantiated, and methods for their integration into professional training are determined by linking them with relevant educational components and applying them in professionally oriented situational tasks. Scientific novelty lies in the systematization of modern digital technologies and industry software products according to their functional purpose, the substantiation of the pedagogical potential of the identified groups, and the specification of methods for their application to develop the innovative-technological competence of future specialists. The practical significance of the obtained results consists in the possibility of using the proposed systematization and defined methods of pedagogical integration to update the content of educational components, select digital tools, develop professionally oriented practical and situational tasks, and create teaching and learning support materials for professional training.
