Abstract: This article discusses the spiritual foundations of the concept of tolerance, which is becoming increasingly relevant in connection with the need to intensify the struggle against international terrorism and religious extremism. In the early Middle Ages in Central Asia, tolerance was manifested in the fact that thinkers turned to the study of the history of philosophy regardless of racial origin or religious and philosophical views.
