Abstract: This work considers a group of substances that do not require special methods of isolation. The main attention is paid to harmful vapours and gases, their physico-chemical properties, the hazards to human health and the precautions to be taken when working with them. The general characteristics of such substances, the features of their storage and the ways of minimising harmful effects in laboratory and industrial conditions are studied.
