Abstract: In the article presented, the data obtained in the course of pedagogical research and the survey materials of a group of coaches made it possible to assume that the development of coordination abilities in rhythmic gymnastics will proceed more successfully and that, at the same time, the quality of the training process will increase provided that they are developed in conjunction with mental processes. It has been established that the leading place in organising the training process is given to taking into account the individual characteristics of those engaged in it, which ensure the construction, content and structure of the training process.
