Abstract: Epilepsy is a chronic brain disease that is caused by various factors and is characterised by recurrent, episodic and temporary dysfunction of the central nervous system, which arises from the excessive discharge of the brain's neurons. In recent decades, despite the continuous development of antiepileptic drugs, there are still many patients with epilepsy progressing to drug-resistant epilepsy. At present, surgical treatment is one of the important ways of treating drug-resistant epilepsy.
