Abstract: The article presents the clinical experience of surgical treatment of 57 patients with Mirizzi syndrome. All patients were examined according to the standard, with particular emphasis on the findings of ultrasound (43.2%) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) (40.2%). During operations, when such complications were suspected, intraoperative cholangiography (IOCG) was performed. Most patients were operated on laparoscopically. In type II Mirizzi syndrome, because of its complexity, we preferred minilaparotomic cholecystectomy with intraoperative cholangiography and, when indicated, sanitised the lumen of the common bile duct with antiseptic solutions.
