Abstract: Translating fundamental neuroscientific discoveries, insights into effective treatments is a difficult and lengthy endeavor, a coordinated effort of multiple disciplines. We have witnessed major progress in the past decades. Precision tools in research, monitoring, diagnosing and classifying disease, concepts emerging that have enabled new drug approvals. The first disease-modifying therapies have emerged for neurodegeneration. The emergence of artificial intelligence tools to aid drug discovery and development, drug safety and clinical studies is expected to accelerate translational neuroscience.
