Abstract: This article analyzes sentences in English and Uzbek containing monovalent syntactic units that occur in the position of the nuclear predicative 2 (the predicate — NP2), and studies their morphological features and their possibilities of connection with other syntactic units. On the basis of the results of the analysis, the similar and different aspects of monovalent nuclear predicative 2 components in English and Uzbek are revealed.
