Approche interdisciplinaire dans la gestion de l’hypertension artérielle
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Hypertension is a major public health issue affecting nearly one billion people worldwide, including 1.5 million in Switzerland. Despite the availability of effective treatments, blood pressure control remains suboptimal, with many patients failing to achieve recommended targets. This is partly explained by therapeutic inertia, suboptimal medication adherence, and limited health literacy. Scientific societies increasingly advocate for a comprehensive, patient-centred care model involving all healthcare professionals who can contribute to blood pressure control, including primary care physicians, pharmacists, and specialized nurses. This article reviews the rationale for such an approach, its implementation, and the complementary roles of the healthcare professionals involved.
