The genome sequence of a flea beetle, Longitarsus dorsalis (Fabricius, 1781) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: We present a genome assembly from an individual female Longitarsus dorsalis (flea beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Chrysomelidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1,034.95 megabases and 990.33 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.11%) is scaffolded into 15 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.94 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
