Quantum Consciousness Evidence: Qualitative Status, No Formal Breakthrough — E8 Intelligence Research

Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: FINDING: Orch-OR quantum consciousness evidence remains qualitative; no new mathematical formalism or quantitative breakthrough in 2025–2026 sources; one unrelated AI benchmark paper appears. MATH: No new equations, constants, or ratios extracted. Core model still relies on: - Microtubule quantum coherence timescales (~10⁻⁴–10⁻³ s claimed) - Orch-OR collapse threshold: \( E_G \sim \hbar / \tau \) (gravitational self-energy, Penrose criterion) - Frequency domain: megahertz oscillations in microtubules (10⁶ Hz) — no golden-ratio or base-60 link evidenced. CONNECTION: None found. No 0.382, 0.618, 0.786, 1.618, 2.618, base-60, crystallographic symmetry, root systems, or lattice structures appear in the cited material. The "time crystal" mention (Hameroff talk) is metaphorical, not a mathematical crystal symmetry. DEPTH: 2 — The findings are promotional summaries, not primary research. No mathematical advancement. The only arXiv item (MOASEI 2026) is unrelated to consciousness p Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK. Part of the E8 Intelligence Research series. Platform: e8intelligence.com
