PUH Theorem 359 — The Core Is a Bubble, Not a Vortex: Sphericity Excludes a Line Defect, and Quantised Circulation in the Substrate Gives ℏ/m_Pc = l_P Without Any Winding Claim

Abstract: Photonic Universe Hypothesis (PUH) — Reclassification and Correction. THE CORRECTION. Four filed papers describe the Planck core as a TOPOLOGICAL POINT DEFECT in a condensate order parameter, carrying an INTEGER WINDING NUMBER, tracing to a March correspondence paper and inherited from there. THAT DESCRIPTION WAS REJECTED IN AUGUST AND THE REJECTION WAS NEVER FILED. This note files it, and shows the replacement is not a substitution but what the archive's own results already required. TWO STRUCTURES, LONG CONFLATED. A VORTEX is a line defect: the order parameter's phase winds around it, its modulus vanishes on the defect, and it cannot split for topological reasons. A BUBBLE is a region of a DIFFERENT PHASE separated by an interface: no winding, spherical because surface tension minimises area, and merging irreversibly. A vortex pair can separate again; MERGED BUBBLES CANNOT UN-MERGE. The distinction matters because the archive's non-splitting result has been read as topological protection when it is surface-tension irreversibility. RESULT 359.1 (sphericity alone excludes the vortex). A vortex in three dimensions is a LINE: it has an axis and extends along it, AND IT CANNOT BE SPHERICAL. The framework has held from the outset that cores are spherical, on the grounds that E₈ is the densest sphere packing in eight dimensions (Viazovska 2016). AND THAT GROUND IS SPECIFIC RATHER THAN DECORATIVE: IT IS A THEOREM ABOUT SPHERES. Densest-packing results say nothing about line defects, so THE VERY ARGUMENT THE FRAMEWORK USES FOR THE CORE'S SHAPE IS UNAVAILABLE TO THE VORTEX READING. This requires no computation and no new assumption. RESULT 359.2 (every relevant filed result says bubble). T180 (April): no lattice, no nodes, no propagation inside — A DIFFERENT PHASE, not a zero of the same one. T356 (September): the interior IS the SPF, a pocket of another phase. T172 (April): cores merge but cannot split — surface tension, not topology. T356's foam topology: pockets in a bounded region. Sphericity throughout: spheres, from densest packing. FIVE INDEPENDENT GROUNDS, ALL POINTING THE SAME WAY. The vortex classification was NEVER SUPPORTED BY THE FRAMEWORK'S OWN CONTENT — it arrived from an external correspondence and was inherited without being checked against T180 or T172. So withdrawing it is not a loss: it removes a misclassification that had been sitting alongside the correct one. RESULT 359.3 (the mechanism survives, on a narrower premise). An April paper bounded fluid gradients by imposing a FINITE-DIFFERENCE CUTOFF, giving a maximum gradient c/l_P ≈ 1.86×10⁴³ s⁻¹ — a TRUNCATION, which deletes structure below the spacing. QUANTIZED CIRCULATION DOES THE SAME WORK IN THE MANNER OF PLANCK'S RESOLUTION OF THE ULTRAVIOLET CATASTROPHE: nothing is deleted, but ∮v·dl = nh/m is discrete, so vorticity cannot concentrate continuously and a vortex core has a minimum radius. The radius at which circulation speed reaches c is κ/(2πc) = ℏ/(m_P c) = 1.616255×10⁻³⁵ m = l_P, IDENTICALLY. AND CRUCIALLY THIS NEEDS NO WINDING AT CORES: quantised circulation is a property of the condensate EVERYWHERE, not of any defect in it, SO IT IS UNTOUCHED BY THE WITHDRAWAL. RESULT 359.4 (oblateness is a signature, not a test). A rotating object held by SURFACE TENSION flattens differently from one held by its own GRAVITY: f ≈ ρω²R³/8σ against f ≈ 5ω²R³/4GM. At 0.68 of maximal spin these give 0.1734 and 1.2449 — A TENSION-HELD SHELL IS ABOUT SEVEN TIMES ROUNDER, because the Shell's tension is 1.4×10³⁹ J/m². A shape fixed by mechanism, with nothing adjustable. BUT THE CAVEATS ARE SEVERE AND ARE STATED BEFORE THE CLAIM: both expressions are NEWTONIAN in a regime that is not; the photon ring at 3GM/c² lies OUTSIDE the Shell at 2.15 and may sample a Kerr exterior regardless; and no instrument is close to measuring ring ellipticity at the required precision. IT IS A SIGNATURE IN PRINCIPLE AND NOT A TEST TODAY. KILL-CONDITIONS: (i) if cores are NOT spherical, Result 359.1 fails and the vortex reading returns — the sphericity claim rests on the densest-packing argument, which is a framework reading of a mathematical theorem and not itself a derivation; (ii) if the substrate's circulation is not quantised, or its carrier is not of Planck mass, Result 359.3's identity is a coincidence of units and the April cutoff is all that remains; (iii) if T303's second-field identification cannot be restated without winding, that paper loses more than its winding clause — this note claims only that its LOCATION result, being pure E₈(−24) structure, is unaffected; (iv) if a relativistic treatment removes the difference between tension-held and gravity-held flattening, Result 359.4 has no content. NOT CLAIMED: that the bubble classification is DERIVED — it is FORCED BY CONSISTENCY with filed results, which is weaker; that the substrate's circulation quantum has been computed, since the Planck-mass carrier is assumed rather than shown; that the oblateness has been measured or is measurable now; that the Navier–Stokes Millennium problem is addressed, since the April paper's own scope note disclaims this and nothing here changes that; or that T303 and T326 are superseded in full — ONLY THEIR WINDING CLAUSE IS WITHDRAWN.
