Receiver Terrain Reconstruction and Verified Transfer in Heterogeneous Agent Systems

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: PTRV proposes a transfer protocol for agents that differ in schema, prior knowledge, authority, and recovery capability. It maintains an uncertain receiver model, uses bounded authorized probes, checks behavioral reconstruction, and conditions further disclosure or action on contract-specific requirements. Critical checks are non-compensatory: success on one cannot cancel failure or unavailability of another. The protocol governs the next authorized increment because reconstruction can itself disclose information. Seven exact or stipulated-model diagnostics illustrate limits of stronger interpretations. Five prospective comparisons assess value against simpler alternatives under matched resources and independent outcomes; practical effectiveness has not been established. AI use disclosure. Generative AI (GPT-6.0, OpenAI) was used substantively in preparing this work, including source comparison, drafting and editing, and, where applicable, mathematical and counterexample checks and the writing and running of supplementary code. The research questions, framework and final claims were directed and reviewed by the author, who takes full responsibility for the content, including the accuracy of all references and reported numbers. Repository metadata were prepared with assistance from Claude (Anthropic).
