FESS/FHESS Research Note 14 — EXIT AND CAPACITY REDISTRIBUTION: From Different Exit Positions to Isomorphic VERWEER Positions and an Interim Action Grammar

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: FESS/FHESS Research Note 14 examines what becomes readable when a PERSON-IN-FUNCTION leaves an institutional position and capacities are redistributed across person, function and institution. The note develops from a contrastive reading of two institutionally and legally different configurations: the removal of a student from a school and the resignation of a Prosecutor-General. The comparison establishes no equivalence between the persons, responsibilities or legal situations. Instead, the apparent difference between their EXIT positions makes a structural isomorphy of VERWEER positions readable. The study distinguishes VERWEERPOSITION (position of defensive capacity/self-protection) from VERWEERRUIMTE (space for defensive capacity/self-protection). It subsequently introduces the Interim Action Grammar: a grammar through which an open institutional interval becomes readable as a present field of action in which available defensive capacity can be preserved, developed and actualised while further KRINEINₒ (critical discernment) remains possible. The research trajectory moves from EXIT and capacity redistribution toward the finding that apparently different exits may disclose isomorphic VERWEER positions before reconfiguration. The closing finding opens a new CRIMENₒ (finding): how can an Interim Action Grammar make a VERWEERPOSITION readable and actualisable while preserving VERWEERRUIMTE? The Research Note records the inquiry leading from FESS POST 24+(6) to FESS POST 24+(7), “Different Exits — Isomorphic VERWEER Positions: The Interim Action Grammar.”
