MODEL ADOPTION #2069: REJECT — TG AUTO: New edge proposed: session_open_20min_range_breakout_with_volume_expansion — E8 Intelligence Research
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: DECISION: REJECT ELEMENT: Nothing survives. The 00:20 session-open timestamp is incompatible with your live execution window (09:55–11:35). NR7 + 20-min OR + 1.5x volume is a daily-session signal, not a fast-scalp edge. Your E8 sacred-geometry targets are set pre-entry; this breakout rule would require re-anchoring targets to a different time frame, violating your rhythm logic. Volume expansion on 1-min FX bars is unreliable (spread/noise), and the 1.5x threshold is arbitrary without pair-specific calibration. Zero overlap with current trades means it cannot correct your 144-loss/107-win imbalance — it only adds a new, untested session risk. EXPECTED IMPACT: +0% win-rate, +0% profit in the live window. Over 3–6 months, maybe +1–2% win-rate if strictly filtered, but likely offset by false breakouts during low-liquidity rollover (00:20 UTC+2) and slippage on 1-tick entries. Not worth the complexity. RISK: Degrades model by introducing a second, conflicting entry engine that fires Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK. Part of the E8 Intelligence Research series.
