Has the machine begun to possess consciousness and feelings? How strange is humankind! We see people being frugal and moderate, not burdening themselves beyond their capacity. Yet, when given some scientific and technological advancement, they become excessively arrogant, imagining themselves capable of anything. In the 1950s, two projects emerged, offering both immense benefits and considerable vanity. Genetic engineering demonstrated the possibility of cloning humans, and artificial intelligence showed the potential to create humanoid robots. Artificial systems quickly evolved from rule-based systems to models capable of learning and reasoning, prompting the pressing question: Could machines one day become conscious? 2026.
