Research data and reproducibility code for Gaussian process-assisted sequential determination of minimum sintering temperature in solid-waste-derived ceramsite

Abstract: This repository contains the research data and reproducibility materials associated with the study “Gaussian Process-Assisted Sequential Determination of the Minimum Sintering Temperature Required to Achieve a Target Strength in Solid-Waste-Derived Ceramsite.” The study develops a target-oriented sequential experimental workflow combining Gaussian process regression with probability of feasibility (GP-PoF) to determine the minimum sintering temperature required for a predefined single-particle crushing-strength target. The workflow was evaluated using three mathematical benchmark response functions and subsequently applied to three multicomponent solid-waste-derived ceramsite formulations (W1–W3). The repository includes: (1) simulation data and reproducibility code for the comparison of GP-PoF, binary search, and SVR greedy; (2) raw and processed real-experiment data, including crushing load, particle dimensions, calculated single-particle strength, and the formal GP-PoF experimental histories; (3) source data used for quantitative figures and supplementary tables; (4) raw X-ray diffraction (XRD) data for W1–W3; (5) raw scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images for W1–W3; and (6) the software-environment information and documentation required to trace and reproduce the computational analyses. The real-experiment archive contains 20 temperature batches and 200 particle-level observations. Fourteen batches comprising 140 particle-level observations form the formal GP-PoF histories reported in the manuscript. Additional reserve experiments and post-stop observations are retained for transparency and are explicitly distinguished from the formal sequential histories in the accompanying documentation. Data, raw research files, and documentation are released under the CC BY 4.0 license. Source code and scripts are released under the MIT License.
