The Trend of Artificial Intelligence in Data Service: A Bibliometric Analysis

Year: 2026
Type: book-chapter
Abstract: Artificial intelligence represents a specialized area within computer science dedicated to replicating intelligent behaviour in computers, focusing on their capacity to emulate and, ideally, enhance human behaviour. Artificial intelligence is the backbone of a larger digital ecosystem, serving as the centre of gravity that links different areas of technology and operations. This study aims to analyse the trend of publications and the possible future research themes related to artificial intelligence in data service. A bibliometric analysis was employed to achieve the aims of this study. Records from the Scopus database were acquired on April 11, 2025, and downloaded in RIS and CSV formats. Vosviewer is used as an analysis software to analyse the occurrence of keywords from the metadata and predict future research themes. The results show that the concept and platforms’ crucial role in incorporating data infrastructure, instructional approaches, and decision-making instruments is reflected in the keywords’ significant frequency and link strength, especially artificial intelligence, data service, and big data. Artificial intelligence plays an essential role in processes, management, and innovation within our lives and environment, going beyond being a mere tool. The themes point to a developing scenario where artificial intelligence and data are increasingly interdependent. However, the shift from data to intelligent decision-making is a work in progress, providing new possibilities and insights. Future research ought to create scalable, service-oriented, edge computing and real-time data analysis frameworks. Quality awareness and energy-efficient systems are essential for long-term viability and peak performance. These priorities could lead to intelligent systems sensitive to their surroundings and green artificial intelligence.
