(Short Paper25) Evolutionary History of Glial Cells in the In Vivo Analog Quantum Synchronizer (Bio-QPU) Paradigm: Op timization Model to an Autonomous Analog Tuner (Glial OS) via Phase Noise Rejection and Chemical Triggers
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: In classical neuroscience, glial cells were named as the “glue that fills the gaps between nerve cells (Glia)” and have been regarded as secondary support cells. This paper redefines the evolutionary history of glial cells within the framework of the in vivo quantum computer (QPU) theory. During the process in which life continued to expand the computational scale (quantum coherence space) of QPUs under room-temperature environments, the competition between computation functions and environmental control functions became a physical bottleneck. This paper formulates the evolution of glial cells in a four-tier model as the “history of architectural optimization in which life externalized and componentized a chemical operating system (OS) into dedicated hardware.” It presents a paradigm shift: “Neurons are merely add-on computational accelerators, and glia are the legitimate successors of the will of life (chemical environment) continuously inherited from the Last Universal Common Ancestor (LUCA).”
